BREAKING NEWS: Doug Ford to institute mandatory kickboxing classes to “Kick COVID’s butt.”

OFL – ONTARIO FEDERATION OF LABOUR

What’s unbelievable is just how believable that is. (Fortunately?) It’s not true.

This election, we know you won’t be fooled by gimmicks and stunts that promise one thing – but end up hurting working people.

That’s why we need your support to put workers first and take action in your community to cut the Doug Ford Unreality Show from our daily news feeds.

On May 1, we’re coming together as a united movement to show what’s possible in our province. It’s a chance to advance our vision for the Ontario we need, and mobilize to win it.

In case you need reminding, let’s take a look at Doug Ford’s track record.

WHAT FORD SAID: “I want frontline workers to know we have their backs.”

WHAT FORD DID: “The premier’s decisions resulted in the death of workers…He’s said no to airborne transmission and proper protective equipment, no to paid sick days, no to more than a one per cent wage increase for public sector workers like nurses, and no to proper enforcement of COVID-19 protections in the workplace.” – Toronto Star, December 2021

WHAT FORD SAID: “People are just fed up with these politicians … filling their buddies’ pockets full of money, sole-sourced deals, giving contracts. It’s all about the money.”

WHAT FORD DID: “Ford has repeatedly faced criticisms that his pandemic response has been again and again dictated by business over public health — especially in cases involving lobbyists close to him.” – Press Progress, July 2021

WHAT FORD SAID: “Workers deserve to have more money in their pockets.”

WHAT FORD DID: “By cancelling the planned $15 minimum wage three years ago, Doug Ford has taken more than $5,300 out of the pockets of Ontario workers to date.” – CBC, November 2021

The list goes on. If we want lasting change, we need to build power in our communities.

Sign the pledge today, and RSVP to an action event near you.
